Weekly Wrap Up 11/18/22
November has been a completely insane month. Neither Nick nor I have had a day off since since the calendar turned and this weekend, Buffalo is due to get a potential of 4 to 6 feet of snow. Yes, you read that correctly. We’re in NYC/Connecticut this weekend because Nick needed to work at one of his Broadway shows, so hopefully we’ll be able to get back home Sunday.
It’s been nice to be home though. I haven’t been to Connecticut (where I grew up) since March and I haven’t been to NYC since August. I’m looking forward to see some friends and getting to do some of our early holiday traditions that we haven’t done since 2019.
I’m still writing away and I’m really excited about my progress. I set the goal to finish 80,000 words, which is a standard novel length. Most are between 80-100,000 words and I wanted to challenge myself to commit to getting the first draft done in 30 days. So far, it’s been going great! I’m trying to work ahead so that I can take Thanksgiving off but if inspiration strikes, I’ll probably write that day!
To be honest, I am so happy to be writing and that this story is flowing the way it is. Every other part of me is feeling extremely run down and I’m looking forward to a little bit of a break next weekend over the holiday in the US.
