What I Read in October 2022
I think I am officially back in my reading groove and it feels good! I read 14 books this month, including some fantastic audiobooks and a couple rereads. I read some books outside my comfort zone and continued my holiday reading. The books out this year are so good!
I think my favorite of the month The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna. It was charming, cozy, warm, and hopeful. It was definitely something I needed this month! I obviously read a lot more Romance, including a reread of The Off Campus Series by Elle Kennedy. Such a comfort series for me.
I think my favorite holiday read so far has been All I Want For Christmas by Maggie Knox. I’m finally reading The New Camelot Series by Sierra Simone and it’s veryyyyy spicy. Like woah. But, I’m intrigued by the concept so we’ll see if I continue!

Forever Wild by KA Tucker
A reread of my favorite comfort series capped off with the holiday novella! I think I’m going to reread Running Wild via audio when it releases next month.
The Fake Santa Apology Tour by Julia Olivia
This was a cute novella but not a new favorite.

Tattered by Devney Perry
This is book one in the Lark Cove series and I didn’t like it that much. I’ve heard the series gets better but it didn’t motivate me to want to continue at the moment.

Book 1 in the Off Campus series was even better than I remembered it. I love Garrett and Hannah so much.

I also love Logan and Grace. The cafeteria scene always made my heart melt. If you’ve read this series, you know!

Three Swedish Mountain Men by Lily Gold
All the wintery vibes in this “Why Choose” book. I wanted to love it but found it was just okay. I still want to read more Lily Gold though and if you want something steamy and adventurous, this is a quick read.

Live Wire by Kelly Ripa
I grew up watching Live with Regis and Kelly so I was excited for this book! I’ve always loved Kelly and she read the audio so it felt like a one woman show. It’s not a memoir and don’t expect her to divulge tons of secrets. Her love of her family comes through so strongly.

American Queen by Sierra Simone
This is one of Ashley’s favorite series and it is SPICY but also has really great writing. I’m definitely intrigued by the series but I would say this isn’t for everyone. Go in with an open mind if you pick it up!
