Weekly Wrap Up 10/13/22

And just like that, the leaves have turned and I’ve settled into Fall. This week, the foliage really came to life. It’s always wild to me that all those beautiful colors signify a kind of death before Winter. It’s been beautiful to take B on walks and watch the leaves change every day. The colors are so rich and I’m really so grateful to live somewhere that gets all the seasons.

I’m slowly finding my reading groove again, on top of all the plates I’m balancing in the air. I’m trying not to focus on how fast the year has gone. I feel like I’m already nursing some end of year blues but i don’t want to to take that mindset. I was to be happy about the time I’ve had this year rather than focus on “accomplishments.”

So, that meant a comfort reread via audio of a series I had a great time reading last year, a fun and breezy Why Choose KU read, and lots of Game of Thrones.

The news was also quite heavy this week so to anyone hurting, please know I’m holding space for you.

What I Read:

The Deal // The Mistake // The Score // Three Swedish Mountain Men

Weekend Reading Plans:

You’re a Mean One, Matthew Prince // Funny Feelings

Listening & Watching:

We are still in the middle of our Game of Thrones rewatch! We’re on Season 6. But if you haven’t caught up on Read It Or List It, check out our last two episodes!

Weekend Plans:

I have a busy weekend! I’m seeing The Secret Garden tonight, which I used to be obsessed with as a child. I’d ask my mom to rent the movie for me over and over again. If you’re in the WNY area, I highly recommend checking it out! Then we have a wedding and it’s a huge football weekend. I’m excited but also already looking forward to a chill Sunday.
