Weekly Wrap Up 9/10/21

Why is it that short week’s are always the hardest? After a great long weekend recharging, this week was so hard to get back into my routine! And next weekend we’re going away (just the two of us, driving distance) so…I think I’m going to be out of whack for the rest of the month.

Since I can’t escape it, I’ve been thinking a lot about the anniversary of 9/11. It’s a really triggering day for (it’s one of the few topics I can’t read about in books or don’t like being surprised by) so that is going to be on my mind this weekend. It’s hard to believe it’s been 20 years since that day that changed me forever.

But it was a great reading week and September is off to a strong start! I also finally got new jeans AND a new denim jacket! See what I was up to below.

Purchases of the Week:

I am the WORST at actually purchasing the items I need most but I finally did this week. New jeans and a denim jacket for Fall? Here we go. Elsa did a review of these jeans on her TikTok and that’s what sold me!

Got My Eye On:

I didn’t do too much scrolling this week! I’m trying to get back into the habits I formed during No Buy July and one of those things is to avoid scrolling for things to buy when I’m bored.

Listening & Watching:

After all the reading I did, I totally needed to zone out and watch some TV!

Recipe of the Week:

Nothing fancy, but I through together a yummy dish using the Trader Joe’s cauliflower gnocchi, peppers and onions, tomatoes from our garden, and shrimp!

Weekend Plans:

It’s Week 1 for Football! I’m excited to have this back as part of our weekend, but honestly I am really nervous to see how this season is going to go, given the ever changing aspects of living during a global pandemic. I’m going to try to enjoy it, for my own personal enjoyment, but I’m definitely nervous.

Have a great weekend, my friends!
