12 Football Romances & Game Day Recipes

Ah, Fall. Cooler air, crisp leaves, and FOOTBALL! We love football season. It’s a fun way to structure our weekends in the Fall. Plus, my favorite recipes usually revolve around Game Day food. So while you're waiting for your team to play each week, fill the void with these football themed romances.

This is an older book but if you love stories about the rich and famous finding out they are even more rich and famous. this is one for you. It’s about a football player who inherits an estate in England!

Game for Anything by Bella Andre

A bad boy quarterback needs to revamp his image. His team hires the one girl who got away back in high school and now he think he can get his second chance with her.

Under the Lights by Shannon Stacey

A high school romance with a football player and the coach’s daughter. Sounds dramatic and I am here for it!

The Baller by Vi Keeland

No that’s a romance cover! This book is definitely 18+ so do be sure to check the trigger warnings before picking it up. It’s about a football star and a sports broadcaster with strong enemies to lovers vibes.

The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata

This is one that came the most highly recommended! I haven’t read an Mariana Zapata but after seeing some rave reviews, her books are ones I need to pick up ASAP. Vanesa quits her job as a housekeeper/assistant/fairy godmother to Aiden, a top NFL player, who never gave her the time of day. But now that' she’s quit, he’ll do anything to get her back.

Sidelined Series by Bianca Williams

The Draft // The Penalty // The Contract

Another series if that’s your thing! The first book is The Draft, which follows an event planner who is resisting the advances of an NFL star, until she can’t any longer.

Scoring with the Wrong Twin by Naima Simone

I haven’t read this one so it might be worth checking out the triggers, but from reviews I don’t think there is any infidelity, though the title might be misleading! A shy twin is confused as her twin sister by an NFL star and she’s too nervous to correct him, even as she begins to fall for him.
