Weekly Wrap Up 2-19-21

First of all, I want to extend my love and support to anyone reading this experiencing the winter storms in Texas. As a New Englander and now upstate New Yorker, I have experienced the loss of power and deep, bone chilling cold and fear before. I know that doesn’t help, because I am not experiencing it right now. I’ll include a few resources at the bottom of today’s post for those looking to help.

This week has been cold and dreary, but we did get one day of sunshine before more snow. I appreciate the sun peaking out for a couple hours more than I thought possible this year. It’s been snowing nonstop since January and even Snow Lady is starting to miss the green grass.

But it was a great reading week and a great work week as well. I was pretty productive until a migraine knocked me on my butt Thursday afternoon. Feeling much better today thankfully!

Here’s what I was up to this week.

What I Read:

The Midnight Library by Matt Haig, Shipped by Angie Hockman, Hate by Tate James (a RH Romance with lots of triggers, if you’re interested in reading!)

Currently Reading:

I’ve been saving A Court of Silver Flames to read this weekend! I wanted to savor it and make sure I had uninterrupted time to truly enjoy it. I’ve been avoiding posts because I don’t want to have any expectations going in! I just want to enjoy it.

I also started First Comes Like by Alisha Rai on audio and I’m loving it so far! It’s told in dual perspective and has a different narrator for each, which is my favorite way to enjoy audiobooks.

Wanting:

I haven’t been scrolling too much actually!

Bit & Bobs:

We celebrated our 10th dating anniversary this week! We got take out from the restaurant we had our first date (we went to college about 45 minutes from where we live now).

Weekend Plans:

I am attending a webinar with Sarah J. Maas that I can’t wait for! Other than that, just another weekend in a pandemic in the arctic north. We’re expecting more snow and more freezing temperatures.

Ways to Help Texas:

From Sharon McHahon, a google doc if you in need of aid.

Delish put together a great list as well!
