Steamy Holiday Romances

It’s no secret that when it comes to Romance, I prefer my reads to be open door. I have never been a fan of the sugary sweet Hallmark style holiday books, of which there are plenty, but if you’re like me and like a bit more edge and excitement to your holiday reads, I hope you enjoy some of these!

They all definitely range in how spicy they get, which I’ve noted. And if open door romance isn’t your thing, be on the lookout for a future post dedicated to the best sweet holiday romances!

Jingle Wars by R. Holmes and Veronica Eden

I read this book in one sitting last year and simply loved it! It’s an enemies to lovers small town holiday romance with plenty of steam and spice. And a snowed in cabin scene 👀 . Review here from last year!

Faking Under the Mistletoe by Ashley Shepherd

I read this one back in 2019 and reread it last year. I’d say it’s the steam level of The Unhoneymooners and it’s just a fun, office/fake dating/grumpy sunshine romance!

Gifting Me to His Best Friend by Katee Robert

Now is where things get spicy. This is MMF Romance and it’s truly just a spicy good time. Snowed in cabin setting, taboo romance, some deep emotions. It’s quick and fun if you’re daring!

Window Shopping by Tessa Bailey

I think this book has some of the perfect balance between being sweet and sugary for the holidays and some really good spice as well. Tessa Bailey knows how to write a fun, escapist romance! This is set in NYC at the holidays. it’s a workplace romance!

Merry Inkmas by Talia Hibbert

Queen Talia can do no wrong. This is fast read with everything you from a Hibbert Romance: a lot of heart, dealing with some real life ish (this time homelessness), and satisfying character growth and steam.

A Princess for Christmas by Jenny Holiday

Do not let the cover fool you, this book goes from Hallmark to Hot REALLY quick. A royal romance in a snowy foreign land with a bodyguard/forbidden romance. it’s a good time.

All They Want for Christmas by Andie J. Christopher

Back to another taboo romance! This one is surprisingly emotional and festive. It’s another MMF romance about former lovers reuniting for a one night fantasy who end up having a lot more feeling and attachment than anticipated.

ON MY TBR

I’ve read a lot of holiday books already for my Reading Guide but that doesn’t mean I can’t read more!

A Merry Little Filthmas by Nicole Falls

From the title, I’m sure we can gather that this is going to be a steamy one lol.

Her Night with Santa by Adriana Herrera

A F/F romance, which I don’t have enough of and even at Christmas, it’s important to expand the representation on your bookshelf!

Mangoes and Mistletoe by Adriana Herrera

This is also F/F romance, which I do not have enough of so I’m excited to give Herrera a shot!

The Christmas Toy by Krista Wolf

This is a holiday reverse harem! I’ve read one other Krista Wolf book and enjoyed it so I’m excited for a holiday themed one!

Amor Actually by Zoey Castile, Alexis Daria, Adriana Herrera, Diana Muñoz Stewart, Priscilla Oliveras, Sabrina Sol, and Mia Sosa

Probably my most anticipated holiday read of 2021! I love so many of these authors so I simply can’t wait!
