Weekly Wrap Up 11/5/21

What a week! It was Nick’s birthday, the start of a fresh new month, and the start of NaNoWriMo 2021! I’ve been working really hard all year to be able to dedicate a lot of time to my writing this month and it has paid off. I am so happy with how I’ve kicked off the month! I’ve been daily vlogging it on TikTok if you want to follow along there!
It might sound cheesy, but I haven’t had such a consistent “good week” in a very long time. Maybe since pre pandemic times if I’m being dramatic/honest. But this week I truly felt so GOOD and proud of myself and I think it’s okay to celebrate those very small wins. We have two months left of 2021, how wild is that?

What I Read:

Tools of Engagement // Heard It In a Love Song // So This Is Christmas // Taste

Currently Reading:

Anarchy (YES I’M ACTUALLY GOING TO READ IT!) // Eight Days of Christmas // A Magical New York Christmas

Purchases of the Week:

Clearly…we can see where my head is with my shopping and scrolling!

Leggings // Velvet Top // Red and White Garland // Pom Pom Garland // Candle // Reindeer Headband

Got My Eye On:

The plaid skirt is currently sold out in my size (it says it runs small so I want to order up 2 sizes) so fingers crossed it comes back in stock!

Recipe of the Week:

It was my husband’s birthday this week and every year, he requests Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies instead of cake. This year I made a cake and the cookies, but the cookies are his favorite.

Listening & Watching:

Articles & Videos:

Apparently, I am now very obsessed with cozy winter videos.

  1. I discovered Cecelia Blomdahl and now I am going through all her videos. She lives on an island near the North Pole and they just entered their “polar night” phase of the year. I could NEVER live there, but I would love to visit!

  2. This article about the future of body image in American I saw from Ashley Spivey (a favorite follow on IG) and it’s a really thought provoking piece.

Weekend Plans:

We’re taking some family pictures this weekend and relaxing! Nick will be traveling for the first time for work since March 2020 and I know i’m going to miss him and be sad when he leaves! For those who don’t know, my husband’s old job kept him on the road 250 days out of the year. He traveled all over the world working in technical theatre. While he didn’t go back to that job full time when Broadway and Tours reopened, he is working for them on a job by job basis, so this is the first time he’ll be back doing what he loves! I’m excited and proud of him.
