Weekly Wrap Up 10/8/21

This week was a doozy. I actually really enjoyed the Instagram shut down on Monday because I felt like I could turn my brain off for a bit but then the day turned out to be a wild work day anyway. This week I leaned into the cliche self care of baths, massages, and face masks but you know what? Sometimes we need those small pieces of being pampered. I looked forward to my evenings!

Poor B is still recovery from her surgery so that was a huge weight on this week as well but we’re in the home stretch! I’m looking forward to a fun, eventful weekend and to sleep in. I really need to sleep in lol.

Got My Eye On:

I was invited to my first in person event that is like a * big deal * and I realized…I have zero clothes that I want to wear that make me feel good. So, I’m on the hunt for the perfect Fall outfit that will leave me feeling confident and cool! Cause as we know, I am very NOT cool.

Plaid Shift Dress // Velvet Skirt // Headband in Merlot // Snowy Pajama Set //

Recipe of the Week:

I’ll link it here again, but chicken pot pie pasta! It’s so easy, yummy, and hearty. It can be made gluten and dairy free and I got the recipe from my friend Nora. It has become a staple in the colder months for us as it reheats well for lunches and leftovers.

Articles and Videos:

  1. I adore following Tabitha Brown on Instagram and was so honored to receive a copy of her book! This article from Bustle about how she winds down and practices selfcare is a great read.

  2. DId you know I’m excited for Christmas? This article has every holiday movie coming to Netflix this year! I can’t wait for the Michael Urie and Jennifer Coolidge one!

  3. Elizabeth Holmes (no, not that one) shared this New York Times article on her story this week and it got me THINKING.

Weekend Plans:

This weekend we are babysitting for our friends when they go to a wedding! And I am determined to get my Fall garden in before it starts snowing. I think we’re going to go to a pumpkin patch and finally get my mums!

Have a great weekend, my friends!
