Weekly Wrap Up 1-22-21

WHAT A WEEK! I began the week feeling super anxious, and I’m ending the week feeling so might lighter and hopeful. I took the afternoon off on Wednesday so I could watch the Inauguration and boy, was it a special day. I am not naive to the fact that we have so much work to do as a country, but the long nightmare of the Trump era no longer controls the White House.

As a reminder of how much we have to do, I read The March Series by John Lewis this week and it was absolutely perfect. I can’t recommend it enough for readers of all ages.

I also got to celebrate the release of The Comeback by E.L. Shen with my favorite indie bookstore, The Bookstore Plus! While the event had to be virtual, it was still wonderful to get a piece of my favorite place, Lake Placid, and celebrate the release of a fabulous new book!

Here’s what else I was up to this week:

Currently Reading:

A Heart so Fierce and Broken by Bridget Kemmerer— The second in the A Curse so Dark and Lonely series! The third book, A Vow So Bold and Deadly, releases on January 26, 2021!

A Promised Land by Barack Obama— I’m still making my way through the audio! It’s SO good and very policy heavy, but goodness is it long. I haven’t had much audiobook time but every time I listen, I am so comforted by the former president’s voice.

Bits & Bobs

Bullet Journal Supplies—I loved this hydrangea fabric from Once Upon a Library so I ordered a pouch and a book sleeve in the fabric! I also have been working my way through Modern Hand Lettering as well!

I use these markers as well and they’ve been great!

I will continue to sing the praises of this sweater until winter is over. I am in love with it and ordered it another color!

Weekend Plans

It’s the AFC Conference Championship game!!! We’re a Bills family and we are so excited but also SO nervous. Nick and I are both 1993 babies, which was the last time the Bills were having a fire season like this, so we’ve never watched a conference championship with our team! I’m making a fun menu and we’re just going to try to enjoy it. if they win, obviously that’s amazing, but mostly I’ll miss our football weekends. It has been so fun to cheer for a winning team and been such so special to have the time together every week.

Check out my menu!

Happy weekend and Go Bills!
