Review: The Simple Wild by K.A. Tucker

🌲 Genre: Romance🌲
What’s the last book that left you with a “book hangover”? It’s The Simple Wild for me. This was one of my most recommended books and I finally read it January. After the first few bumpy chapters, I fell completely in love with the characters, story, and setting. Alaska? Sign me up.

Synopsis: City girl Calla Fletcher attempts to reconnect with her estranged father, and unwittingly finds herself torn between her desire to return to the bustle of Toronto and a budding relationship with a rugged Alaskan pilot in this masterful romance.
What I loved:
1. The setting. I love books set in Alaska. It’s one of my dream bucket list destinations and until I can get there, I’ll read all the books.
2. The characters. Jonah and Calla feel like familiar friends and I could identify with a lot of the things they were feeling.
3. The trope—enemies to lovers. Romance novels tend to fall into specific tropes, and this was was totally fun and relatable.
4. The raven and goose wife story BROKE ME.
