Weekly Wrap Up 5-22-20

First of all, how beautiful is the artwork by my sweet friend Lyndsey? Her shop is on Vacation until June, but keep an eye out for when she reopens! She’s one of my favorite people and favorite artists!

I think this was the week I felt the most “normal” since March. Our apartment’s gym opened back up (with restrictions) and it started to make me feel like my days had even more structure. Since I still want to go at “off peak” times, I’ve been putting my nose to the grindstone to get my work done by 2:30 so I can get a workout in from 3-4pm. And then prep dinner and have time to relax!

My journey with the gym has always been a roller coaster but this is the first time in my life I’ve been so at peace with how I use it. I give myself 40-65 mins and it helps my mental and physical health. Obviously I’d love to see physical results, but the mental results are what keep me going back without getting discouraged.

I read some great books, tried a new to me recipe, and did a branding workshop with some of my favorite blogger friends! I have been working on a lot of ideas to rebrand Read & Wright and expand it’s community. I’m excited to continue building my little corner of the internet here. Slowly but surely, all the things I want to do are going to happen. Time to manifest.

All in all though, a very good week in quarantine.

Here’s what I read:

A Study in Charlotte, Happy & You Know It, The Heart’s Invisible Furies

Currently Reading:

Serpent & Dove, Avalon High, The Jane Austen Society (out May 26—thank you Libro.fm for my advanced listener copy!)

Wanting:

A new sunhat! This one from Vineyard Vines is so cute and I love this one from Hat Attack!

Weekend Plans: the usual—podcast recording and relaxing! Nick has planned a special picnic for us too and I am so excited to get out of the bubble of our apartment! We haven’t done anything like it in months!

How was your week?
