Rainy Day Reads
Some books are just meant to be read in a single sitting on a cozy rainy day. On top of this quarantine situation, has anyone else realized we’ve been having CRAZY weather? It rained so hard on Monday and I just wanted to curl up with some of the books I’ve been saving. I love reading books cover to cover. And even though I’m ready to reread the A Court of Thorns and Roses series, I have so many other books to read!
Beach Read by Emily Henry—I was able to get this one early thanks to Book of the Month! It releases in May!
The Guest List by Lucy Foley—Another early release from Book of the Month that will be great to read cover to cover on a rainy day
The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman—My BFF Elsa gifted this book to me because she loved it and I can’t wait to read it! It’s supposed to be so fun for readers and I’ve heard that there are LOTS of Harry Potter refrences.
When the Stars Lead to You by Ronni Davis —This has been a YA pick I’ve had on my shelf for months! I think I’ll be able to fly through it at some point during this month, especially since Read It Or List It is all about YA this month!
The Truth About Happily Ever After by Karole Kozzo—If you’re missing the Disney Parks, this is a great way to travel there in your mind! I read this one in 2018 and I LOVED it. It was so fun and I’ve been meaning to do a reread. I love “behind the scenes” types of books and this one definitely falls into that. Behind the scenes of a Disney-like park! It’s a new adult romance that isn’t too steamy but has enough to keep you feeling the warm and fuzzies.
I love rainy days, especially when you can really lean into them. When planning content, I always have to pay attention to the weather since cloudy days don’t make for the best photos. So when I see we have a chance for a storm, it makes me a little excited to lean into the cozies!
While I wish I’d be wearing more fun outfits like this for spring, i’ve definitely been enjoying my loungewear!
