What I Read in March
Well this was certainly a wild month now, wasn’t it? We have gotten used to our quarantine lifestyle but it’s also still scary and difficult. I feel like this month barely existed and yet was so unbelievably long.
I had a hard time reading this month for sure, but once I hit my groove I was definitely in it—and that meant a lot of rereads, a lot of YA, and lots of audiobooks. Audiobooks were kind of the the sweet spot for me this month because I was able to listen while keeping my mind and hands busy with chores around the apartment and taking long walks when the weather held up.
Here’s What I Read:
The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han
If You Want to Make God Laugh by Bianca Marais
The Girl He Used to Know by Tracey Garvis Graves
Darling Rose Gold by Stephanie Wrobel
Undercover Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams
I’d Tell You I Love, But Then I’d Have to Kill You by Ally Carter
Summer of ’79 by Elin Hilderbrand
Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy by Ally Carter
Beautiful on the Outside by Adam Rippon
Don’t Judge a Girl by Her Cover by Ally Carter
Only the Good Spy Young by Ally Carter
Okay so I said it was a bad reading month and yet…I still read 11 books. Are you ever so annoyed with yourself? Hilarious. I plan on finishing the Summer I Turned Pretty series in April as well as the Gallagher Girls books too! And then I’ll dive back into the many, many books I need to read.
Overall, March came and went. We are getting through the days as best we can and we’ll continue to get through these days. We can’t put pressure on ourselves to be perfect little quarantine productivity machines because at the end of the day, our mental health matters most.
So I’m here to remind you to take the naps, binge the shows, eat the cookies, cry the tears. And then FaceTime your friends and family, take a shower, do some stretches, and breathe.
We’re going to get through this. Here’s to April and a fresh start.
