Review: Snow in Love by Melissa de la Cruz, Aimee Friedman, Nic Stone, and Kasie West

When I saw Nic Stone’s name on the cover of this book, I knew I had to it. I loveeee Stone’s work so I immediately scooped up this anthology and it it worth reading for that story alone.

This book contains 4 short holiday stories from some popular YA authors of today: Melissa de la Cruz, Aimee Friedman, Nic Stone, and Kasie West. It’s an easy breezy read full of holiday magic and some classic teen drama.

While Snow in Love is full of cheesy moments, it’s perfect when enjoyed with a treat and some lights. It takes you right back to being a flustered teen at the holidays.

What I Liked:

  1. The Variety—I liked that this anthology wasn’t only stories about Christmas! It also ranged in genres and meaning, from romance to adventure. You can’t get bored!

  2. The Nostalgia—This book hits you RIGHT in the feels and makes you feel like you’re 16 again, stressing about finding the perfect holiday gift and if your crush will kiss you under the mistletoe.

  3. The Characters—These characters are fun and all so different. It was great to see so much representation and in different types of relationships.

What Didn’t Work:

  1. It’s not that it didn’t work, but this book is perfectly written for its teen demographic. If you go into it as an adult, just be aware that this is a book meant for teens!
