April Wrap Up

First of all, I just wanted to say thank you for what a crazy amazing month this has been. Between celebrating one year of blogging, launching the new site, and some incredible opportunities that have come by way, April was good to me. So thank you, thank you, thank you!

I just tried to go back and find my April TBR and goals list and….I couldn’t find it. Then I remembered I was coming back from our friends’ daughters’ first birthday party, so I don’t think I ever wrote or posted it. Oops. Which doesn’t really serve my purpose now, since I wanted to reflect on what I set out to do!

I had two distinct goals: no take out and finish 10 books.

I do have to say, I sadly broke my goal of no take out twice. This month was so busy I literally never made it to the grocery store and ran out of my meal prepped stuff pretty quickly. I did last three weeks into the month! But then one Thursday night I was so so so hungry, and just had to order from my favorite Thai place. And last Friday night it was so rainy and it was my first day off in weeks, so I decided to treat myself. But I’ll take twice a month over twice a week, which I am definitely guilty of in the past!

I wanted to challenge myself to finish 10 books in one month because I know I’m capable of it. I average about 7 a month normally, but I really wanted to get through a few more, just because I want to hit the halfway point of my goal by June, since that’s halfway through the year.

Royal Wedding by Meg Cabot

I’m Fine and Neither Are You by Camille Pagan *Review coming Thursday!

I’m so glad I pushed myself to finish ten books in one month! It’s really important, especially in the age of content, to prioritize the media that means the most to you. I’m also really happy that I read some more diverse authors and new authors this month as well. Definitely not enough and something I need to be more away of, so i’d love your recommendations for May!

Did you read anything noteworthy in April?
