Blogmas: Taking Care of Yourself during the Holidays
I am one of the lucky people who have a supportive family and happy memories attached to the Christmas season. From doing the Nutcracker with my mom’s ballet studio, to the Christmas concert at our schools, to exchanging gifts with friends on the last day before break, all I have are happy memories.
But I know that’s not the case for everyone.
If you are struggling this holiday season, there’s a great song from Niki DeMar that just was released that I think could resonate. It’s okay not to be okay.
I was send a copy of Myndee Corkern’s new book, As You Love Yourself: 30 Days of Devotion to You and it got me thinking about this topic. Myndee’s book is an interactive journal that allows you to read a passage and reflect on it for 30 days.
I am a sporadic journaler. I always wanted to be a dedicated writer as a kid, but I am definitely one who reflects once or twice a week. I love guided journals like this because it instills the habit of reflecting on what you’ve read or what you’re going through.
As You Love Yourself is available on now! It would be a great gift for anyone in your life, maybe paired with a basket of self care products! I’d love to receive it with some bath bombs, shower gels, a hair or face mask, and maybe a gift card to get my hair done or a massage!
Thank you to Myndee and Brooke for the gifted copy!
