Audiobook Favs of 2019

I love a good audiobook. But I can never listen to fiction on audio, so you’ll see from my list that the audiobooks I read (listened to) this year are all nonfiction. It’s like an extra long podcast and I LOVE having one going while I’m cleaning the apartment. It makes me feel extra productive.

I listened to a number this year and they brought such joy to my subway commutes and Saturday morning cleaning sessions! Here were my favs:

Bad Blood—This one is CRAZY and basically like the Fire Festival of the health industry. It was great and I was gasping while listening to it. It’s the story of Elizabeth Holmes and the Theranos scandal. It’s also a great HBO documentary.

Catch and Kill by Ronan Farrow—This one broke my heart while also making me so angry and inspiring me to continue to be an advocate for my fellow women in the acting industry. It also takes some crazy turns and is a huge lesson on the power of money in Hollywood to silence the truth.

The Greatest Love Story Ever Told by Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman—If you want to laugh, you have to listen to Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman’s book. Their relationship is amazing and they are just so darn funny.

Over the Top by Jonathan Van Ness—This book is just a lovely, heartwrenching, hilarious listen. JVN does the narration and his story is so so sooo important.

The Witches Are Coming by Lindy West—SO. GOOD. This book go me through the crazy post Thanksgiving snow storm I had to drive through. However, you will *not* be a fan if you like the current President. But it made my feminist heart sing.
